NFC North Draft Grades

1. Green Bay Packers- B

Round 1 • Pick 12 (12) • DE Rashan Gary

Round 1 • Pick 21 (21) • S Darnell Savage

Round 2 • Pick 12 (44) • C Elgton Jenkins

Round 3 • Pick 75 (15) • TE Jace Sternberger

Round 5 • Pick 12 (150) • DL Kingsley Keke

Round 6 • Pick 12 (185) • CB Ka’Dar Holliman

Round 6 • Pick 22 (194) • RB Dexter Williams

Round 7 • Pick 12 (226) • LB Ty Summers

The more I look at this draft, it gets worse and worse but the Rashan Gary pick is a big risk, especially now that there are reports saying that he may be playing OLB which is not a position I see him thriving in. As for the Darnell Savage pick, it has upside to fill a hole right away or possibly boom and then they have a great pro bowl caliber safety tandem in him and Adrian Amos. However the next three picks were very good value at positions of need and anybody around me will tell you this, I value the first and second round very lowly in comparison to you 3-6 rounds because it is those picks that create dynasties like the patriots. Elgton Jenkins has experience at every line position there is so that fills any need there and Jace Sternberger is an athletic tight end who could plug in right now and learn from Jimmy Graham from day one. Kingsley Keke was great value in the fifth to help out and get depth on the d-line

2. Detroit Lions - B

Round 1 • Pick 8 (8) • TE TJ Hockenson Round 2 • Pick 11 (43) • LB Jahlani Tavai

Round 3 • Pick 18 (81) • DB Will Harris

Round 4 • Pick 15 (117) • DE Austin Bryant

Round 5 • Pick 18 (146) • CB Amani Oruwariye

Round 6 • Pick 11 (184) • WR Travis Fulgham

Round 6 • Pick 13 (186) • RB Ty Johnson

Round 7 • Pick 10 (224) • TE Isaac Nauta

Round 7 • Pick 15 (229) • DT PJ Johnson

The lions easy could have the best draft in this division by a long shot if it weren’t for the Second round mega reach in Jahlani Tavai now this could be a great scheme fit pick and that's the justification for the pick but there were so many other talented player left. However the rest of the draft was good, they pick up great value in Harris and Bryant even to an extent the Johnson pick was very good to be a developmental guy behind Snacks Harrison. The reason I love this draft is the pick of Amani Oruwariye, in my eyes he was a second round pick that they snagged him in the fifth, he could come right in an plug next to Big Play Slay to be the second corner the Lions have needed for years. This draft overall is very good and had it not been for the second round pick easily could be an A grade draft.

3. Chicago Bears- B

Round 3 • Pick 10 (73) • RB David Montgomery

Round 4 • Pick 15 (117) • WR Riley Ridley

Round 6 • Pick 32 (205) • CB Duke Shelley

Round 7 • Pick 10 (224) • RB Kerrith White

Round 7 • Pick 15 (229) • CB Stephen Denmark

With the Bears minimal amount of picks they did very well they got a replacement for Jordan Howard and secondary back to fill in the gaps where Cohen lacks, to improve upon the already good draft they took Riley Ridley a lengthy athletic receiver who could challenge for minutes right away. The main issue I have with the draft is the simple fact that they didn't address their O-line in how it is very good but Kyle Long isn’t getting any younger.

4. Minnesota Vikings- B

Round 1 • Pick 18 (18) • C Garrett Bradbury

Round 2 • Pick 18 (50) • TE Irv Smith Jr

Round 3 • Pick 39 (102) • RB Alexander Mattison

Round 4 • Pick 12 (114) • G Dru Samia

Round 5 • Pick 24 (162) • LB Cameron Smith

Round 6 • Pick 18 (190) • DT Armon Watts

Round 6 • Pick 19 (191) • S Marcus Epps

Round 6 • Pick 21 (193) • T Oli Udoh

Round 7 • Pick 3 (217) • CB Kris Boyd

Round 7 • Pick 25 (239) • WR Dillon Mitchell

Round 7 • Pick 33 (247) • WR Olabisi Johnson

Round 7 • Pick 36 (250) • LS Austin Cutting

This is going to sound weird but I like this draft the best out of any in the division but the biggest need for this team was O-line and they got one really good player in Garrett Bradbury but didn’t follow that up with anything on the outside. However I love the Irv Smith pick as well as picks like Dru Samia and Kris Boyd, but they really tried to improve this offense when in reality they need to get replacements for players that they don't have the money to play soon and the oline woes still really bothers me which is why this comes in at last in the division despite all the teams getting the same grade.
