AFC North Draft Grades

1. Baltimore Ravens-B+

Round 1 • Pick 25 (25) • WR Marquise Brown

Round 3 • Pick 22 (85) • OLB Jaylon Ferguson

Round 3 • Pick 30 (93) • WR Miles Boykin

Round 4 • Pick 11 (113) • RB Justice Hill

Round 4 • Pick 21 (123) • G Ben Powers

Round 4 • Pick 25 (127) • CB Iman Lewis-Marshall

Round 5 • Pick 22 (160) • DT Daylon Mack

Round 6 • Pick 25 (197) • QB Trace McSorley

The ravens had a very successful draft, not only did they improve in many areas including hopefully getting a main target for Lamar Jackson but also go very very very Fast. Miles Boykin will be a starter day one and Jaylon Ferguson will hopefully be a Terrell Suggs replacement. Justice Hill has a good chance of being a big part of this back field with it no only appearing to be by committee but also he could rise as a feature back. The only pick I saw as not that good was the Iman Marshall pick which had they traded down into the fifth would have been a fine pick. Also their attempt to creating the next Taysom Hill I think is corny and quite risky considering this has only been successful one other time before.

2. Cincinnati Bengals-B+

Round 1 • Pick 11 (11) • OT Jonah Williams

Round 2 • Pick 20 (52) • TE Drew Sample

Round 3 • Pick 9 (72) • LB Germaine Pratt

Round 4 • Pick 2 (104) • QB Ryan Finley

Round 4 • Pick 23 (125) • DT Renell Wren

Round 4 • Pick 34 (136) • OG Michael Jordan

Round 6 • Pick 9 (182) • RB Trayveon Williams

Round 6 • Pick 38 (210) • LB Deshaun Davis

Round 6 • Pick 39 (211) • RB Rodney Anderson

Round 7 • Pick 9 (223) • CB Jordan Brown

I may be one of the lone people who sees the Bengals draft this successful, one they got a great tackle in Jonah Williams while also picking up a very good tight end who wasn’t productive because of the lack of targets. Germaine Pratt was a very good pick at amazing value, to go along with that picks like Renell Wren, Mike Jordan, Trayveon WIlliams, and most valuable of all Rodney Anderson. The bengals drafted players with tremendous value, some at positions of need others not so much but could lead to trade pieces.

3. Cleveland Browns- B

Round 2 • Pick 14 (46) • CB Greedy Williams

Round 3 • Pick 17 (80) • LB Sione Takitaki

Round 4 • Pick 17 (119) • S Sheldrick Redwine

Round 5 • Pick 17 (155) • LB Mack Wilson

Round 5 • Pick 32 (170) • K Austin Seibert

Round 6 • Pick 17 (189) • T Drew Forbes

Round 7 • Pick 7 (221) • CB Donnie Lewis Jr.

The browns succeeded in taking very good players without having a first round draft pick, in a very comparable position to the Saints the Browns took a possible first round talent at a position of need to better your team. Other than the Greedy pick Sione Takitaki wasn’t a terrible pick and picks of both Sheldrick Redwine and Mack Wilson came of great value.

4. Pittsburgh Steelers- B-

Round 1 • Pick 10 (10) • LB Devin Bush

Round 3 • Pick 2 (66) • WR Diontae Johnson

Round 3 • Pick 20 (83) • CB Justin Layne

Round 4 • Pick 20 (122) • RB Benny Snell Jr.

Round 5 • Pick 3 (141) • TE Zach Gentry

Round 6 • Pick 2 (175) • LB Sutton Smith

Round 6 • Pick 20 (192) • DE Isaiah Buggs

Round 6 • Pick 35 (207) • LB Ulysees Gilbert III

Round 7 • Pick 5 (219) • OT Derwin Gray

Now this hurts me to do because they got one of my favorite players in Devin Bush plus great players in Justin Layne and Benny Snell. However over and over the team made boneheaded decisions, why would the team take Dionte Johnson over Hakeem Butler ir not trade up and get DK Metcalf to fill the receiver need. Isaiah Buggs and Sutton Smith were fine picks but I dislike the other 3 picks I haven’t yet mentioned. The offensive line room needed help at tackle but I don’t know if this was the time also Zach Gentry wasn’t one of my top tight ends there and Ulysees Gilbert could have potential as good depth but right now I don’t understand the pick.
